Code of practice Your driving instructor will follow this code of practice at all times during your driving tuition with us. Your driving instructor will, at all times, behave in a professional and courtious manner towards clients. Your driving instructor will safe guard and account for any monies paid in advance, by the client, in respect of driving lesson fees, test fees or for any other purpose and will make the details available to the client on request. Your driving instructor will check a clients entitlement to drive the vehicle and to read a number plate at the statutory distance on the first lesson. When presenting a client for a driving test the instructor will ensure that the client has all the necessary documentation needed for the test and that the vehicle is road worthy. Instructors will advise clients when to apply for their theory and practical driving test. The instructor will take into account local waiting times and forecast of clients potential for achieving test standard. The instructor will not cancel or re-arrange a drivint test without the clients agreement, however, the instructor does reserve the right to refuse use of the driving school car for the driving test in the unlikely event that the pupil is deemed unsafe. The instructor will, at all times, endeavour to teach driving skills in accordance to the DSA's recommended syllabus. Reasonable notice of at least 2 working days must be given, by the client, in the event of cancelling driving lessons otherwise a cancellation charge will be applied by the instructor.
